Colorado BuckRaised in a hunting family, he was brought up in a magical world for a young boy who simply loved to be outside.He was introduced to hunting largely by his uncles C.A., and Teed Goforth. Both accomplished houndsmen, they guided for bear and mountain lion in Northern California and Southern Oregon.He  began guiding hunters back in the early 70's, guiding his first successful hunter at age 12, all by himself, he say's.... " I still remember that great feeling of accomplishment. From that day forward, I never wanted to do anything else! "

When away from his uncles his faithful and always devoted Mother, Dovie Goforth took him hunting! 5 am alarms and hot black coffee were the norm for he and Mom all throughout each hunting season. As a teenager, he supplied the family with their meat supply almost in it's entirety.

He guided for many different outfitters throughout the Rocky Mountains and in Texas.He ran bear and mountain lion hunts for other outfitters with his hounds and became quite well know as one of the best houndsman around. With each outfitter he worked with and for,he learned the goods and the not so goods of the outfitting business.  In 1985 he felt it was time to put that knowledge to better use and started his own outfitting business - Rocky Top Outfitters. Colorado became known as the - Go To - for Bear, Mt.Lion and select Big game hunts. In the ensuing years he  hosted many Celebrities, Movie Stars, Pro-Atheletes, Singers, Heads of States and Hunting Icons from many countries around the world. In 1989 he started " Spikes Taxidermy " and enjoyed growing that company into one of the largest business' in that area - Today,there are literally Thousands and Thousands of mounts that Grace hunters walls around the Globe - form that business.

He made his living hunting bear and mountain lion with his hounds, but enjoyed hunting elk, mule deer, sheep, antelope, whitetail deer,hogs and varmints also.His efforts landed him on one of the best elk ranches on the planet - The Historic and Famed -Taylor Ranch, that the acclaimed book " The Taylor Ranch WAR was written about and is now called - The Cielo Vista Ranch - There he guided hundreds and hundreds of clients to some of the biggest elk of their lives.

For years he had been filming his bear and mountain lion hunts and enjoyed Great success selling VHS tapes of his hunting adventures with then associate " The Moutain Rat "- Dirk Ross - of whom did his very last hunt with Colorado and Pro Golfer Fuzzy Zoeller, before being killed in a tragic plane crash, He did his first TV show with David Hale and Harold Knight of Knight and Hale game calls, it was their first successful elk hunt and David took a Magnificent 363" Bull! that is still his biggest bull to date -From there he  began hosting other TV shows and filmed with virtually Everyone who had a show during that era, which returned some great results and success, None though that he recalls, were more memorable than the first with his Life Long Friends David and Harold. Then, after being prodded constantly,He started his own show titled "The Outfitter"with the help of some dear friends and hunting clients Sam and Ruth McCuin. The show progressed and won several awards - Best Editing, Viewer Favorite Hunting Show, and the most rewarding Viewer Favorite on Camera Personality.

This opened up hunting opportunities around the world and out of those opportunities was born a new show titled Where in the World is Colorado Buck. The show has been seen and viewed by Millions and Millions of viewers and is currently available in nearly a dozen countries around the world, with the show Colorado has featured many start up organizations, Woman's hunting groups, Physically challenged organizations, wounded warrior and  soldier support groups and numerous young hunters events and is currently closing in on his Personal Goal of guiding his 100th person to their First successful hunt, and the show is still going strong as we head toward the 2017 season. The show closes out each week with a Scripture - and although far from a preacher Colorado shares his Love of the Lord and accredits his success to a wonderful family, some of the industries Greatest Mentors, Friends, Cameramen, Editors and an incredibly loyal and supportive staff, and most of all his closest friend...........GOD.
