Legend Biography

Buck went on his 1st duck hunt with his dad when he was just six years old. In 1980,
Buck entered his first duck calling contest. In 1981 he won the first of what was to be
three Alabama State duck calling championships. In 1982 he won the Mississippi Delta
Regional, defeating 47 other duck callers including six former world champions.
It would be another twelve years before his dream of becoming a national duck calling
champion would come true during which time he spent developing his own line of
championship duck calls.
Bucks calls would blow when wet and soon his company, Buck Gardner Calls was the
first to produce a compact disc on duck calling. In 1994 Buck won the coveted world
duck calling championship and then went on the next year to win the Champion of
Champions which is the highest honor a duck caller can achieve.
