Legend Biography

Emily Shaffer, a native Tennessean, has fished all of her life. She grew up fishing with
her family. She met her husband, Larry, at a weigh-in in 1988
. They started tournament fishing together and he talked her into competing in the
women’s circuit. She loved it and has been fishing in them since 1992. She now is a
writer, instructor, emcee, and goes to schools to talk to children about fishing. She does
TV show, boat shows (in and out of state) and radio shows.
