Roger Raglin was born in Oregon. Though born a web foot, Roger’s a true Sooner
being raised in Oklahoma and resides there today. Roger believes his biggest three
breaks in life were being raised by a godly mother, having both sides of his family
that were die hard fisherman and hunters, and living right on the edge of the city
limits of Wagoner, Oklahoma which allowed him to get turned loose with a BB
gun at age five.

Roger received two degrees from Southern Christian University, a Masters Degree
from Southern Nazarene and another Masters degree from the prestigious Duke
University in North Carolina. Following college, Roger married Darlene Ashmore.
Roger started his film career in 1984 and 24 years later, Roger has produced nearly
70 full-length hunting videos and DVD’s.
Roger has traveled all over the world taking various record book animals including
several world records, but he is known primarily for his skills in the field of
whitetail deer. This goes without saying since he has been nicknamed, “America’s
Favorite Whitetail Deer Hunter.” Having taken whitetails in nearly 40 different
U.S. states and in 5 Canadian Provinces, Roger’s accomplishments are simply
staggering. His trophies include 174 bucks topping the 120 Boone & Crockett
mark, of which 118 top the 130 B & C mark.

In 2009, Roger added to his long list of achievements and awards by winning the
three most coveted prizes given by the Outdoor Channel: The Fan Favorite
Awards of Best Host, Best Hunting Show, and Best Overall Production.

Roger continues to produce his award winning program, “Roger Raglin Outdoors”,
as he enters his 8 th season on the Outdoor Channel and continues to be one of their
most popular programs. Recently, he added his youngest son, Josh to the staff and
now those two – Big Raglin and Little Raglin – are now headed out every fall in
search of new adventures and challenges. Or as Roger would put it, “Creating
Memories that money just can’t buy”.
