Legend Biography

Wally Marshall, aka "Mr Crappie", started his professional career in 1987 fishing a crappie tournament on Cedar Lake in Texas. After taking 1st place, his dream of being one of the best crappie anglers in the country began. A 28-time Crappie Classic Qualifier, he has 27 National Tournament wins including: the Regional Champion in 1997, 2002 Angler of the Year, National Champion in 2003 and runner-up four times for National Champion.
Wally has appeared as a guest on many national television shows with the great Jimmy Houston, Barry Stokes Outdoor Trails, Fishing the West, and the host of Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World crappie segments and videos.
"Wally Marshall Signature Series" crappie fishing products started at Bass Pro Shops in 1996. Over the years, Wally Marshall has designed a great line of products for today's crappie anglers, from rods and reels to great crappie action videos. Also, he's the most well-known name in crappie fishing products today with the "Mr. Crappie" brand. All of these products can be found at your local Bass Pro Shops and other fine stores. He is the designer of the new "Crappie Thunder" lures by "Mr. Crappie" and just introduced a new new crappie lure called "The Slab Daddy" by "Mr. Crappie" and Blakemore Lures.
